It just really drives me nuts when I try to look pretty and be in good spirits and smile the whole time I’m with my extended family and all they seem to want to talk about is how I’m not graduating on time and how I have a questionable major and what am I doing why am I single and how pretty my cousin is and how she’s been with her boyfriend forever and how well she’s doing when she couldn’t even be bothered to come to mothers day in the first place.

When I get bored I get really antsy
Like I literally just got up from where I’m sitting and went and picked up my PS3 to bring to my room, and set it up, and then turned on my TV and was like “I’m gonna play some DAO! … Nah.” and turned off my TV and went to sit back down at my computer.
And then opened a word doc and was like: “Meresino fic! … No.” and closed the word doc
and then grabbed my sketch pad and was like “Try to draw! …. Again! … Nah.” and closed my sketchpad

And the entire time I was sitting there zoning out as I looked at the powerpoints of really interesting things like potentially using Tularemia as a bioterrorism agent and the molecular resistances to pesticides that mosquitoes have

My mom visited today. It was a great day, we went to a craft fair and walked around campus, then went to get an early dinner, and then went to a cake shoppe for dessert and coffee.
She just left a few minutes ago and I feel so empty. Maybe it’s because I’m exhausted but I want to cry.
I miss my mom, you guys. Like a kindergartener.
ugh.

- because my mom is coming to visit tomorrow

So I have two lab write-ups due at midnight, and a quiz due tomorrow night.
But on the upside I got a new job, and I was offered a position doing an honors thesis next year, which would give me a paper in my CV before I even graduate. I’m also hopefully going to work with the Entomologist at my community college over summer, which would be really sweet. And Maybethings liked the bag I sent her so that’s really exciting to me. c:
