I’m curious, do you feel that way about fictionalized accounts of historical people as well? Along the lines of what they do in Assassin’s Creed?

That’s really something I’ve been trying to figure out for myself for a very long time, and I honestly don’t have a good answer. 

I mean, it is a fictionalized character based on a person, and not necessarily the person themselves, and the interactions and characterization they have in the base media isn’t their own volition. 

It’s certainly better than the fanfiction of Justin Timblerlake fucking Britney Spears that I’ve seen…
